Author's profile template

  1. Acceptance of articles. Accompanying documents

Papers for publication are accepted on a regular basis. The authors should take into account that reviewing process for an article, peer-reviewing, editorial and publishing processing takes a long time, and therefore an article received and approved by the Editorial Board for publication will, as a rule, be published no earlier than 3 months from the date of its receipt. In this case, the date of receipt of an article will be the date of its receipt from the author in the final version after all the editing and corrections initiated by reviewers and an editor.

Incorrectly formatted papers will not be considered, reviewed or returned! Also, manuscripts of articles and electronic copies on flash-drives will not be returned. At the same time, the editors do not enter into negotiations with the authors on their own initiative.

1.1. Articles are only accepted for review through the online manuscript submission system.

After registering in the system, the author uploads an article in .doc, docx format along with the questionnaire.

All articles submitted to the editorial office undergo a mandatory anonymous peer review. Based on the review results, the author receives corresponding notifications about decision to publish the article, remarks of reviewer and editor, or decision to reject the article. The notification is sent to the author's email address.

The editors proceed from the fact that the authors voluntarily provide their personal information in the author’s questionnaire in the volume and composition (and in accordance with the rules for publishing research articles) required for their open publication.

1.2. Approval for publication of the article’s final edition. The author uploads the final edition of the article (after corrections proposed by reviewers and the editor)  through the online manuscript submission system for proofreading, layout and subsequent publication.

1.3. Accompanying documents. Along with the article, the author should upload through the online manuscript submission system:

  • questionnaire – consent to the publication of information about the author;
  • original illustrations;
  • scanned copy of license agreement (the original is sent by mail to the address of the editorial office 105082, Russia, Moscow, Bakuninskaya st., 71);
  • other documents at the editorʼs request.
  1. Article’s formatting

An article is only accepted by the Editorial Board and reviewers if it complies with the following requirements for publication in scientific journals indexed by scientific citation databases.

All articles received by the Editorial Board, that got a positive assessment from reviewers and were recommended for publication, undergo mandatory editing (editing, proofreading, technical editing). Making changes based on the editor’s remarks is discussed with the author.

The date of receipt of an article will be the date when the Editorial Board received and registered the final edition after all the corrections initiated by reviewers and an editor.

The journal is officially registered as bilingual, and articles can be published in Russian and/or English.

INTRODUCTION

An introduction is meant to review the current state of the issues considered in the article, to define a scientific problem and its relevance.

An introduction should include a review of modern original Russian and foreign scientific achievements in the corresponding subject area, a review of research and results on which the presented paper is relying (literature review). A literature review emphasizes relevance and novelty of the issues considered in the research. Hereupon, the goals and objectives of the work are set and described.

An introduction should contain information that will allow readers to understand and evaluate the research results presented in the article.

Literature review

References include at least 15 titles, excluding references to regulatory documents, Internet resources (web-sites that are not periodicals), reports, as well as sources not included in the catalogs of leading Russian depository libraries (Russian National Public Library for Science and Technology, National Library of Russia, Russian State Library), archives, etc. Such sources should be listed above the minimum threshold. It is not recommended to refer to Internet sources that do not contain scientific information.

The level of publication is determined by its references, their completeness and representativeness. You need to refer to original sources from scientific journals included in the global citation indexes. Preference is given to original publications in modern scientific periodicals over the past 10 years.

METHODS AND MATERIALS

This section describes the methodology for conducting the research (the sequence of actions that led to the result). Justification for the choice of the article’s topic (title). The methodology information given in this section should be sufficient for reproduction by a qualified researcher. It is not recommended to indicate only general scientific methods.

RESEARCH RESULTS

This part of the article should present the author’s systematic analytical and statistical data. The research results should be described so that readers could follow its stages and assess the validity of the conclusions made. This is the main section. Its purpose is to prove the working hypothesis (hypotheses) while using analysis, generalization and data clarification. When necessary, the results are supported with illustrations (tables, graphs, figures), which represent the source material or evidence in a concise form. It is important that the illustrated information does not duplicate what is already given in the text. The results presented in the article should be compared with previous works done in this field by both the author and other researchers. Such a comparison will additionally reveal the novelty of the work as well as give it more objectivity. The research results should be summarized briefly, but at the same time contain enough information to evaluate the conclusions drawn.

CONCLUSION AND DISCUSSION

The conclusion contains a brief summary of the research results. Here, in a concise form, the article’s main ideas are revised. This section should compare the results obtained with the objective stated at the beginning of the work. The conclusion summarizes the results of reflecting on the topic, contains observations, generalizations, recommendations arising from the work. It emphasizes their practical significance and defines main directions for further research in this area. It is desirable for the final part to include research development prospects in the respective field.

As part of discussion, possible development prospects of the topic under consideration can be presented.
